ATM ThumbnailCash withdrawals
You may have a debit card that allows you to withdraw cash through a cash machine (Also known as an ATM - Automatic Teller Machine, or a 'hole in the wall' machine) from your bank account.

Example:
You withdraw £10 on 6th of May

The transaction will be recorded on your bank statement.

Activity: The bank statement will show:
Move your mouse pointer over items to find out what each area means.

After you have withdrawn cash from the cash machine, you should keep your own personal record that shows how you spend the money. The bank statement does not record what you spend your cash withdrawal on.

To keep a record of your cash outgoings you can create your own budget.
